Boundless Theater, led by founders Tommaso Cartia and David James Parr, will present an exclusively curated salon and fundraiser on Sunday, April 26, at its Midtown Manhattan headquarters. The event celebrates four years of ongoing commitment to developing bold new theatrical works, championing underrepresented voices and stories, and shining a light on New York City's independent theater community.

Bianca Marroquín Joins Rob Driemeyer for BROADWAY BARFLY LIVE at Laurie Beechman Theatre

Bianca Marroquín will appear as a special guest in Broadway Barfly Live with Robert Driemeyer, presented Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 7 PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Doors will open at 5:30 PM.
Marroquín, who has starred on Broadway as both Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly in Chicago, will join Driemeyer for the cocktail-fueled musical evening, performing a selection of her signature songs.

Casting has been revealed for the upcoming industry reading of David James Parr's SLAP&TICKLE, which will be presented at the Laurie Beechman Theatre November 12.
Chad Austin will direct the dark comedy set in 2010 at The Sanctuary—the last standing gay bathhouse in New York City—as it examines the intertwined lives of a group of transgenerational queer characters on a journey of sexual awakening and self-discovery.

I walked into The Eagle, a notorious leather bar in Manhattan. As a transgender woman, there are places you know not to go. The bar is inclusive but the men who frequent it are not — and being a femme around a bunch of horny, “masc4masc” types isn’t my idea of fun.
The bar was hosting a play that Boundless Theater, a queer theater company, produced called ”Slap & Tickle.” I was there playing the role of Shira, a 40-year-old Jewish transgender woman (which is, give or take, my exact identity). The cast was made up of me and six of the most tender gay cisgender men I’d ever met.

Eleanor Rigby is Waiting, presented by Boundless Theater, and written by David James Parr, at The Duplex, is divided into two complementary chapters – “Electricity” & “Closure,” each one happening on different nights.
“Closure” addresses the many places we meet in the city. It’s where we fall in love, or out, or just to the side of it, where we connect as city dwellers in public restrooms, coffee shops, subway platforms, sidewalks, and Columbus Circle, all of these are the settings of the eleven thoughtful, poignant, and quick vignettes. Reality in the face of loneliness is what the play is about.
